Welcome to the website of the Heartland Naturists - a Kansas City Missouri area club devoted to social nudism. The club was founded in February 1982 when 30 area nudists, mainly from the Topeka and Lawrence area, gathered at the home of Webb Garlinghouse to form KNS or Kansans for a Natural Society. Th e club changed its name to The Heartland Naturists in 1996. A longer history of the club and nudism in midwest is included in the magazine Nude and Natural Volume 16.4 published by the Naturist Society in 1996.

Singles, couples and families are welcome at club functions and all events are clothing optional. Club events are private but open to guests of the club and guests of members but initial email contact is required with the club in order to pass along event information and also to allow the club to get to know our guests.

The club sponsors monthly swims, house parties, and our premier annual event - the Sun Run, named for a different solar diety each year, the race is a 5K Clothing Optional race that coincides with Nude Recreation Week in mid summer.
